Following her graduation from the University of Sydney, Rene Forshaw worked in the hospitality industry as a Banquet Sales Executive organizing various small and large-scale functions in multi-national hotels.
She later decided to change career paths and started to work as a legal secretary in a Sydney law firm whilst she completed her legal qualifications. Rene then worked for an Accredited Specialist in family law in a suburban law firm, where she discovered her passion for family law and since her admission as a solicitor she has worked exclusively in this field.
Rene has worked with Kate Rafton for over 4 years now and recently joined the firm in early 2008 after a period of time off for maternity leave. Rene currently assists with both the family law and care and protection matters. Her outstanding organizational skills and ability to deal with a wide range of people, from clients to other lawyers and experts, is a great asset to the practice and her friendly, professional manner makes her both approachable and easy to talk to.
Rene has recently started working as a volunteer solicitor with the Macquarie Legal Centre and is a member of the NSW Legal Aid Care and Protection Panel and Family Law Panel.
