Catherine Parks joined Rafton Family Lawyers in 2009 covering our practice in care and protection matters in the specialist children’s court. Catherine graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Laws/Arts (History). Upon completion of her studies Catherine worked for a large Family Law firm in Parramatta, developing skills in both property and children’s law.
In 2003 Catherine moved to Canberra and completed a 1 year cadetship with the Attorney Generals Department in Canberra working in the Family Law branch on the development of international child and spousal maintenance law and international child abduction law before returning to Sydney to commence a position as a solicitor working in both the Family and Children’s Court for a large firm in the City.
Catherine continued to have a joint Family Law and Care and Protection Law practice until 2006, when she chose to specialise in Children’s Law, working for Legal Aid at Parramatta.
Catherine enjoys working with families to assist them in reaching child focused outcomes. She is passionate about this area of law and brings significant experience and expertise in the field to Raftons. |
